SCALPEL: Anatomy E-Learning Series

Explore SCALPEL: the Stanford Clinical Anatomy Lecture and Practical E-Learning series.

There is a critical deficit in the number of health professionals being trained worldwide. As a result, millions of people do not have access to adequate healthcare, and there are tremendous disparities in avoidable disability and death.

We work to address critical gaps in health information. In this Stanford Clinical Anatomy Lecture and Practical E-Learning (SCALPEL) series, we extend the expertise of Stanford Medicine faculty through digital, modular medical education that can be localized to meet the needs of different learning contexts. 

This video series is based on the Clinical Anatomy course offered at the Stanford School of Medicine. This is a required course for all first-year medical students at Stanford and is an appropriate course for physician assistants and other allied healthcare professionals.

This training includes five modules with over 40 videos. All materials are free for use under Creative Commons CC-BY-NC-ND 4.0 license.
